Private jets can be expensive. Ensure the cost fits your budget and includes all fees like fuel, landing, and possible overnight charges.

When people rent business private jets, those jets are business expenses. If you’re renting one for an employee or on your employer's behalf, check your budget first.

6. Cancellation Policy

When planning a trip, sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned. People have to cancel, people get sick, poor weather gets in the way, and so on. So many factors could cause you to change your plans!

Understand the cancellation policy in case your plans have to change. Remember that these policies are in place to protect the flight company. If you have to reschedule (rather than cancel), they may be able to work with you. 

No one ever wants to cancel a trip, but sometimes things happen. Always hope for the best, but anticipate any potential setbacks or hurdles. 

7. Airport Access

Where are you going to board your jet? 

Private jets can use smaller airports, which can save you time. You may not have to go to the same large airport that houses all the passenger planes from significant airlines. This can help you avoid crowds and sometimes long wait times and long drives.

Confirm the airports the jet can use for departure and arrival before you confirm your trip. It would be inconvenient if there were nowhere near your destination for the plane to land! 

8. Ideal Flight Times

When you book a private jet, you have more flexibility regarding your flight time. Are you the type of traveler who loves a red-eye flight? Do you like to sleep on a plane and arrive at your destination first thing in the morning, ready to go? 

Perhaps you prefer a more leisurely afternoon trip so you’re already well-rested when you board. 

While there may be some restrictions around flight times, you have options. Talk to a representative from the company to find a time that works best for you and your crew.
